Woody Woodruff from Portland Save-A-Lot was in Belize for the home build with Hand in Hand Ministries and he shared pictures taken from that build.
House #554 is more than a home — it’s a testament to what happens when people come together, hand in hand.
Last week in Belize, volunteers from the U.S. worked alongside local community members — including Ms. Raven’s own coworkers from the Belize Fire Department — to build a safe, stable home for a devoted mother of two who continues to serve her community with strength and resilience.

From shared workdays to a heartfelt house blessing, this week reminded us that homes are built with more than concrete and nails — they’re built with connection, compassion, and hope. And as the keys were handed over, a handmade quilt stitched with a house symbolized the love and community that made it all possible.
Our open immersion trips are open to anyone — individuals, couples, friends, or strangers who arrive ready to serve and leave forever changed. If you’ve been looking for a way to travel with purpose, this is your invitation.
Together, we build homes. Together, we build hope.
