Together a group of driven Portlanders led by Skyler Miller removed nearly 15,000 pounds of trash and hundreds of needles from the neighborhood! That’s 15,000 pounds of change. 15,000 pounds of hope. 15,000 pounds of proof that when a community comes together, anything is possible.

Gary & Judy met at UK when he was teaching architecture and she was studying community development. Eventually, after they got married (nearly 54 years ago!) she persuaded him to move back home to Louisville and Portland where they happily raised their three kids, and did much more along the way!

Jaxon Lee Swain has been a Portland resident since 2015, but he’s been working with sonaBLAST! Records since 2011, after a stint managing the local music section at beloved and departed Louisville record store Ear-X-Tacy for many years. When the shop closed, he asked if the label needed any help, and he’s been there ever since.
