Louisville Visual Art (LVA) invites families from the Portland community to a free and festive Centennial Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 18, from 2 to 5 p.m.—an afternoon dedicated to celebrating 100 years of its beloved Children’s Fine Art Classes (CFAC).
This special event will feature hands-on activities, food, exciting door prizes, and a vibrant student artwork reception showcasing pieces created by this year’s CFAC participants. Guests will also enjoy a unique opportunity to explore LVA’s rich legacy and learn how CFAC has helped shape generations of young artists.

Since 1925, CFAC has provided intensive, scholarship-supported art education to talented elementary and middle school students, with a mission to make creative opportunities accessible to all. What started with one class in the Louisville Free Public Library has grown into a region-wide program that has served thousands of students across Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
Centennial Family Fun Day is open to everyone—so bring the whole family, celebrate the power of art, and be part of a milestone 100 years in the making!
