Jaxon Lee Swain has been a Portland resident since 2015, but he’s been working with sonaBLAST! Records since 2011, after a stint managing the local music section at beloved and departed Louisville record store Ear-X-Tacy for many years. When the shop closed, he asked if the label needed any help, and he’s been there ever since.

Western Middle School for the Arts to Present Annual Spooky Concert
The Western Middle Band, Orchestra, and Piano/Digital Music programs will create the first annual Spooky Concert on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 5:30 p.m. in the school’s auditorium. “You’ll laugh, you’ll shiver, and you’ll definitely leave humming a tune” said WMSA Band Director Adam Bullock.
Jerry Cox Celebrates 19 Years at Portland Kroger
Jerry Cox is a Portland resident celebrating his 19 year anniversary at the Portland Kroger. He has never missed a shift in that time. Jerry doesn’t drive but that doesn’t stop him. He walks back & forth from 19th & Duncan to 35th & Bank regardless of the weather. In fact, Jerry even walks to his church in Jeffersonville Indiana!
