Two Portland Youth Win The Unspeakable!

Nolan Eubank, 10, a 5th grader at Portland Elementary, and Mason Bell, 13, a 7th grader at Shawnee Middle School, were named national winners in a commercial contest for YouTube star Unspeakable (19.3 million subscribers). Their fast-paced spot—complete with flipping dolphins and clever cutaways—was one of three winners from more than 1,000 submissions. The boys rallied neighbors as actors and teamed up with local videographer Judah Miller.

Their prize: a three-day trip to Texas to meet Unspeakable (Nathan Milner), tour the set, watch a shoot, and even appear in a video. “The whole trip gave me a different perspective,” Mason said. “When I won, I was completely in shock—like a one-in-a-million experience.” Nolan added, “On a scale of 1 to 10, the whole trip was a total 10. We played in fake snow, got buried on a double-decker bus full of plastic balls, and saw a firetruck blast his giant Lego house.”

Beyond the excitement of lights, cameras, and set pieces, the experience showcased what can happen when creativity meets community support. From concept to final cut, the boys’ project became a neighborhood effort—one that now has national bragging rights and a memory-of-a-lifetime ending.

For Nolan and Mason, the victory is both a celebration and a spark. Whether it’s more commercials, short films, or school projects, they’ve shown what young creators can accomplish with imagination, teamwork, and a little hometown help.
