Hand in Hand has been honored to appear in the pages of our fine neighborhood newspaper in recent months, and to that end we wanted to provide some additional information for community members that could either benefit from our services or would like to join us in the service of others.
If you’re a Portland resident with mobility issues that could benefit from a handicapaccessible ramp, please call 502-459-9930 or send an email to caleb@myhandinhand.org. We would love to speak with you about your need, help you fill out an application, and assist you in getting the accommodations you need to live safely in your home for years to come.
If you’re a Portland resident who would like to join us in service to our neighborhood, you’re invited to come out on May 17th for our “Feel Good Sunday” event. We will be meeting at our office at 518 N. 26th Street from 12 to 4PM where we will plant a pollinator garden, do a big cleanup of our adjacent block(s), and have a cookout together. If you’re available and interested, we’d love to see you there to help make our little parcel of the neighborhood a little cleaner and brighter and build community while we do it.
