Get Ready for the 52nd Annual Portland Festival!

Join us for Louisville’s favorite neighborhood tradition on June 5 & 6, 2026! This 100% volunteer-run event is FREE TO ATTEND and packed with fun for the whole family.

  • Friday, June 5: 5 PM – 11 PM.
  • Saturday, June 6: 1 PM – 11 PM.
  • Location: N 33rd St & Northwestern Pkwy, near the library.

🎺 The 2026 Portland Parade

Saturday, June 6 @ 12:00 PM Sharp

  • Join the Fun: Kids in costumes, decorated bikes, nonprofits, and “cool” cars are all welcome!
  • Details: Entry is FREE. Day-of sign-ups are accepted, but to save time on the big day, contact Richard!
  • Lineup: Arrive at 10:30 AM at 2137 Portland Ave, near the Family Health Center.
  • Contests: Compete for Best Overall Float, Best Group Performance, Best Classic Car, and more!

🎀 New “Best of the West” Stage

This year, the festival expands with two stages of live music! While we continue to celebrate Portland’s rich history, our new Best of the West stage highlights local talent from across the entire West End.

  • Stronger Together: We are proud to showcase a diverse lineup of singers, dancers, theater groups, and musicians of all ages. This stage celebrates our unity and the vibrant culture of our neighbors.
  • Saturday Schedule: Catch local performances from 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
  • The Hub for Fun: This stage will host our festival contests and the “Best of the West” Karaoke Showdown!

Friday, June 5

  • The Ventura Band: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
  • Lindsey Lane Band: 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM (A returning crowd favorite!).

Saturday, June 6

  • Shumate Blues Revival: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
  • Atomic Groove Machine: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
  • Off the Hook: 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

πŸŽ‰ Attractions & Free Contests

  • Festival Fun: 150+ Vendors & Makers , Food Truck Row , Car Show , and Cold Beer (21+) including craft options from the Shawnee Legion Post.
  • Music & Dancing: Grab your dancing shoes and enjoy two days of incredible live music on both stages!
  • Free Contests: Hula Hoop (12 & under), Sav-a-Lot Bagger Challenge, Name That Tune, and the “Best of the West” Karaoke Showdown! Check our Facebook page to sign up.
  • Activities: Enjoy pull tabs, raffles, and community fundraisers.

πŸ™Œ We Need You! Updated Volunteer Needs

The festival is 100% volunteer-run. We urgently need help in the following areas:

  • Parade Support (Sat, 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM): Check-in, traffic/parking directors, marshals, and clean up (21 people needed).
  • Portland Festival Tent (Fri, 5–11 PM; Sat, 1–11 PM): Photo booth, raffle tickets, and merchandise (24 people needed).
  • Best of the West Stage (Sat, 1–8 PM): Stage managers, emcees, contest assistants, and stage hands (16 people needed).
  • Trash Maintenance (Fri, 5–11 PM; Sat, 1–11 PM): Helping keep our grounds clean (12 people needed).
